How does FundAnytime work?

FundAnytime provides individuals a platform to raise donations for their needs. Individuals can sign up for free, setup up campaigns for their needs, share them with contacts, and raise donations.

What can I raise money for?

Individuals can use FundAnytime to raise money for themselves, their friends or acquaintances. The purpose maybe medical expenses, education costs, charity events or any other personal needs that you might have.

Can I raise money for a friend or a loved one?

Absolutely. FundAnytime allows you to raise money for someone else, while maintaining trust and safety.

How much does FundAnytime charge to run a campaign?

FundAnytime does not charge you or your campaign donors. However, a per donation fee is collected by our payment processing partner, WePay. For more information, please refer to “Pricing Section”.

Do I have to sign up with my facebook account?

Signing up with Facebook is optional. FundAnytime provides you with the option to either sign up using an email address or using your Facebook account.

Can I run more than one campaign at once?

Of course. You are allowed to create as many campaigns as you want using a single FundAnytime account.

Is running a campaign from my country supported?

FundAnytime currently supports campaigns only from the United States of America.

What are the device/browser requirements for FundAnytime?

There are no browser or device requirements to use our website. FundAnytime is intelligent enough to recognize the device being used and adapt itself.

Where do I choose the category my campaign belongs to?

You can choose the category in the first screen of your create campaign page. You can also enter your goal and give your campaign a title on the same page.

How can I figure out how much I can potentially raise?

Look at your circle of family, friends and acquaintances and estimate how many people will come forward to donate for your cause. Then, multiply that by the average amount you think you can raise from each person. You can start here and then build up your campaign based on your needs.

Do I need a PayPal account to launch a campaign?

No, you do not need a PayPal account to launch a campaign. FundAnytime uses WePay for payment processing. Users will have to register with WePay after launching a campaign which lets you withdraw your funds in 48 hours.

Running A Successful Campaign

Who can donate to my campaign?

Friends, family, co-workers, network contacts and for that matter, any person who is aware of and willing to contribute to your campaign, can do so.

Do campaigns have time limits?

Campaigns do not have time limits and can remain active until you choose to make them inactive.

What if I don’t reach my goal?

Even if you don’t reach your goal, you still get to keep the money you raised.

How will I know when someone donates to my cause?

Every time a donation is made, an email notification will be sent out to you with the donor details and the amount of donation received.

Can people from another country donate?

Yes, FundAnytime campaigns can accept donations from anywhere in the world.

Can I list the money I raised offline on the campaign page?

Yes, offline donations can be recorded from within FundAnytime by the campaign organizer.

How do I share my campaign page?

All campaigns created on FundAnytime have the option to be shared via Facebook, Twitter or email. In addition, each campaign page has a unique URL, which can be used to share details of your campaign. The URL can be customized to fit your needs.

Can I donate to my own fundraiser?

Yes. There is no restriction on who can or cannot donate to a fundraiser.

What are “Update” messages?

Updates are any changes in the situation pertaining to your campaign. Posting updates will let your donors know your progress . Updates can be anything from new pictures to changes to the description requesting for more funds.

Can I choose the payment method in which I can receive donations?

FundAnytime facilitates payment through credit cards and we leave it to donor’s choice as to what type of card they use to donate.

My network doesn’t understand crowdfunding. How can I explain it to them?

Direct them to our website FundAnytime.com/ and ask them to take a look at what we do and how it works.

How do I get the FundAnytime widget on my website or blog??

You can get the widget from your campaign page. Select the ‘Create Widget’ option from the ‘More’ drop down menu. Copy the widget and embed it in your blog or website.

After Your Campaign Ends

How do I collect the money I raise?

Once you start receiving donations for your campaigns, you can easily request a withdrawal from your FundAnytime account, at any time. You can also setup auto-withdrawal on a daily / weekly / monthly basis.

How long does it take to withdraw my donations?

Our payment processing partner, WePay, facilitates all the collections of funds and withdrawals. Most of the settlements are completed within 48 hours.

How can I send thank-you notes??

You can send customized emails from your campaign page to your donors. The default template will be to request for support, but it can be modified to thank your donors for their contribution.

Do funds count as income?

Funds raised on crowdfunding sites are general considered income but in a few cases can also be considered as non-taxable gifts. It is advised that you consult a tax professional for specific guidance.

Can the funds I collect be taxed?

Donations raised on FundAnytime are usually considered as ‘personal gifts’, which are not taxable according to the IRS. It is however advised that, you consult a tax professional for specific guidance on taxes.

Can my donor information be exported?

Yes. FundAnytime currently gives you the ability to export donor information in Excel and CSV formats.This exportable donor information also includes donor mailing information.

How do I unsubscribe from FundAnytime emails?

There is currently no unsubscribe feature available in FundAnytime. We hope have this feature available very soon.

What do I do if my need for funds increased after I started working on the project?

You can post an update to your campaign, explaining why your need increased and request your donors for more funds. This is why updates are great. You can post any changes and we will automatically notify your donors.

Can I collect more funds than my original goal?

Yes. You can continue to raise funds even after your goal is met.

Can I re-run my campaign if I don't meet my goal?

Of course. You can update your old campaign or you can start a new campaign altogether.

Before Donating

Do I have to sign up through FundAnytime to donate?

No. You can donate for as many campaigns as possible, without having to sign up.

How can I contact a campaign organizer?

You can contact the campaign organizer using the contact information listed on the campaign page.

Can I make recurring donations?

Recurring donations are supported, allowing donors to choose to make monthly donations, if they choose to do so.

How do I know if a campaign is legitimate?

Crowdfunding usually comes from friends, family and acquaintances. If you are looking to donate to people you do not know, then try to get as much information about them as possible. Google them, look for unrealistic statements and contact other donors.

Where can I update my contact information in case campaign owners need to contact me?

Donor contact information is captured when a donation is made. Campaign owners can use that information to contact donors. Donors can also reach out to campaign owners with the information provided on the campaign page with any updates.

Who is responsible for the successful completion of the project?

FundAnytime is simply a platform for need-based crowdfunding. Campaigners are fully responsible for the completion of projects.

How do I know if the campaign owner is who they claim they are?

Our team at FundAnytime suggests that you only donate to people you know. If you want to donate to strangers, you can contact them for additional proof that they are in fact who they claim to be.

Donating

How much am I charged to donate?

FundAnytime is absolutely free for donors. However, a per donation fee is collected by our payment processing partner, WePay. For more information, please refer to “Pricing Section”.

Can I donate anonymously?

Donors have the option of keeping their donations hidden from the general public. However, campaign organizers will still be able to see who the donor is.

Can I donate through a check or a bank transfer?

We encourage you use the payment options listed on our website for safety and tracking purposes. However, you could donate through a check or a bank transfer if you choose to do so.

My payment failed. Why do I have a pending charge on my bank statement?

In certain cases, we might not have received a response from your bank even if the payment failed. You will see the charge as pending on your bank statement until it is cleared by the bank.

My credit card payment got rejected. Why?

Credit Card transactions can be rejected for several reasons such as low account balance. For details about specific rejects, you can reach out to the customer support team of your card issuer.

Is there a minimum or maximum donation?

There are no limits on donations. You can donate as little or as much as you wish to.

What are the different methods I can use to donate?

FundAnytime currently accepts all types of credit cards for donations.

After Your Donate

Are donations refundable?

Refunds are currently not supported in FundAnytime. We’re working on making refunds available to donors soon.

Are my donations tax deductible?

It depends on the type of donation. Donations to organizations are tax deductible, however donations to individuals are not. We suggest that you consult a tax professional for specifics.

How do I stop my recurring donations?

In case you need stop your recurring donation, you can reach out to the campaign owner and request that your donation be suspended.

What happens to my donation if the overall campaign goal is not met?

FundAnytime is based on the flexible funding model. The campaign owners keep the funds that they raised even if the overall goal is not met because we believe that something is better than nothing.

How do I check if my donation went through?

Our team at FundAnytime will send you an email notifying that your transaction has been processed. You can confirm by checking your bank statement.

Do you store my credit card details?

No. Our partner WePay deals with donation processing and withdrawals. But we make sure that the whole process is PCI compliant.

How can I edit or delete comments on the campaign page?

You cannot edit your comment, but can delete your comment and add a new one.

Is my personal information secure?

FundAnytime has been developed according to the latest standards in data security and PCI Compliance. Right from the point you sign up for our service, to the point where you reach your objective, all the data is stored/transmitted securely. All the sensitive information collected by FundAnytime is stored using the latest encryption standards in the industry.

What if I get into a personal dispute with someone?

At FundAnytime, one of our goals is to make the process of donating a memorable one. Although we are always available to help you with any issues in using our software, any disputes of personal nature are better resolved by the parties involved.

How do I report a campaign that I feel is fraudulent?

Every Campaign page is provided with a report fraud button. Donors and Organizers alike can use this feature to report fraudulent campaigns.

What is WePay?
